Georgian PM: Gov’t aims to reduce consumer prices, final plan to be presented soon

Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said that his government was working on a plan to reduce consumer prices, with a final strategy expected to be presented to the public after the commission completes its work this week.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze addressed reports about rising prices, dismissing them as inaccurate.
“The information about price increases is false - on the contrary, inflation has slowed. However, we are not satisfied with this”, he said.
The prime minister noted that his government’s goal was to reduce prices as much as possible.
“Our goal is to reduce prices as much as possible. The commission will complete its work this week, we will have a working process in the government next week, and afterward we will present the final plan to the public”, Kobakhidze concluded.
