Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said that communication with American partners has recently intensified, noting ongoing and planned high-level contacts aimed at reviewing specific details of bilateral relations.
Speaking to journalists, Kobakhidze noted that his government has expressed a clear readiness to review all relevant details with the US side and to renew the strategic partnership based on a structured roadmap.
“There has been increased communication recently with American partners. I personally had a call with Mr. Rubio, and further communication is planned to discuss specific details. We are focused on this”, the PM said.
“Our position is very clear: we are ready to discuss all details and renew the strategic partnership with the US based on a specific roadmap. For us, this is the only indicator of a substantive renewal of relations. We hope each detail will be discussed constructively and will form the basis for renewing the strategic partnership. We cannot disclose details in advance”, he concluded.
