Georgian Patriarch Ilia II hospitalised as condition remains stable but serious

The Public Relations Service of the Georgian Patriarchate on Tuesday released an official statement regarding the health condition of Ilia II.

According to the statement, “Due to a sudden deterioration in his health, His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, is currently at the Caucasus Medical Center. His condition is concerning, though stable”.

The Patriarchate has called on the public to offer prayers for the Patriarch’s recovery.
