Georgian Deputy Minister of Justice: UN Forum in Tbilisi highlights global recognition of Georgia’s reform agenda

Georgian Deputy Minister of Justice Lana Morgoshia on Wednesday reviewed the ongoing United Nations Public Service Forum in Tbilisi during an interview with POSTV.
Morgoshia highlighted that Georgia is hosting the forum for the first time, describing it as further evidence that the reforms implemented and currently underway by the Georgian Government are significant and attract strong interest from international partners.
“This is a highly important platform and event that once again underscores the fact that the reforms and programs implemented by the Georgian Government over the years are of great importance and interest to our international partners”, she said.
“The event will continue for three days. During yesterday’s plenary sessions and parallel workshops, we covered a number of important topics, including citizen participation and engagement in the development and delivery of public services, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, data collection, and many other issues envisaged within the framework of this forum”, the Deputy Minister continued.
She further added that on the second day, she opened a panel discussion where she spoke in detail about how to ensure citizen engagement and inclusion so that everyone has equal opportunities not only to access public services but also to participate in shaping them, making services more citizen- and user-oriented.
“Tomorrow, a ministerial roundtable will be held. The Minister of Justice will present to fellow ministers the achievements we have made in this field, particularly regarding citizen-centred approaches. She will discuss the Public Service Hall model and the services provided by the Ministry of Justice, as well as a broader range of public services beyond the Ministry itself”, Morgoshia noted.
“We have already held several bilateral meetings, and additional parallel bilateral meetings are scheduled for today and tomorrow. The final day will conclude with a ceremony recognising the most innovative projects, during which the countries and initiatives deemed the most innovative and citizen-oriented will be announced”, she concluded.
