Georgian PM: citizens can now access over 400 public services online as digital transformation accelerates

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said his Government was placing particular emphasis on digital transformation alongside expanding access to public services, noting that citizens can already receive more than 400 electronic services remotely.
Speaking at the United Nations Public Service Forum in Tbilisi, the Prime Minister highlighted the contribution of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the development of citizen-centred public services, noting that the agency offers up to 100 services to citizens and businesses and serves as a modern, efficient service model based on international standards.
Kobakhidze noted that recent years had seen the introduction of electronic certificate issuance, the possibility of obtaining an international driving permit, and a remote vehicle registration transfer system, enabling citizens to access key services without visiting a Government office.
“As access to public services expands, we are placing particular emphasis on digital transformation. Our goal is to turn this progress into faster, safer and simpler public services for citizens. Today, citizens already have the opportunity to access more than 400 electronic services remotely, while innovative technologies are being actively introduced across the public sector, including artificial intelligence-supported identification and verification mechanisms”, he said.
The Prime Minister added that, alongside the development of citizen-oriented and innovative services, the Government was paying special attention to the efficient management of public resources, as well as strengthening transparency and accountability.
