Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday said the ruling party was the only uncontested force in Georgia, which was the guarantor of peace, prosperity and the European future.
In his speech at an event launching the election campaign of the ruling party, Garibashvili noted as in 2012, in the October 2024 elections, the choice for the public was “easy”, because today the choice was between “the party of war and the party of peace”.
Garibashvili further accused the opposition United National Movement party of destroying the country before 2012.
He warned against allowing the United National Movement party, which he referred to as the “War and Chaos Party”, to return to power, emphasising the importance of preserving peace and national interests.
“As in 2012, in the elections of October 2024, for our public, for our citizens, the choice is easy, because today the choice is between war and peace, the party of war and the party of peace, a development-oriented political force that pursues national interests, and an evil one that pursues the interests of foreign countries and brings war and chaos”, Garibashvili noted.
“Since 2012, with the support of our loyal voters, our wise citizens, and under the leadership of our leader, Bidzina Ivanishvili, we have convincingly won all elections, and I believe, with the support of our wise citizens and standing together the Georgian Dream party will definitely win on October 26!” he concluded.
