Ruling party Chair denies “lies” alleging he has left Georgian Dream party

Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday said that media outlets controlled by the domestic “radical” opposition had spread lies, alleging that he left the Georgian Dream party.

In his social media message, Garibashvili emphasised that he continued to serve as the Chair of Georgian Dream party.

“Today, media outlets controlled by the radical opposition spread a false claim that I had left the Georgian Dream party. This disinformation has a single purpose – to mislead the public and create artificial agitation. I want to emphasise that I continue to serve as the Chair of the Georgian Dream party, I remain a member of our team, and any other information is not true”, he concluded.
