Georgia’s US Ambassador highlights White House meeting with Deputy National Security Advisor as key to strengthening Georgia-US ties

A meeting at the White House between the Georgian delegation and Andrew Baker, the US deputy national security advisor, has highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen and reset relations between Georgia and the United States, said on Wednesday Tamar Taliashvili, Georgia’s ambassador to the US.
Taliashvili said the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss key and fundamental issues necessary for reinforcing Georgian-American ties and launching a new phase of cooperation.
“I would particularly highlight the meeting that just concluded at the White House with the deputy advisor of the National Security Council Andrew Baker. During this meeting, we had the opportunity to discuss all the fundamental and essential issues necessary for strengthening, resetting, and starting a new chapter in Georgian-American relations”, the ambassador said.
“We already have a fairly active dynamic in renewing these relations, and this meeting will undoubtedly play a significant role in terms of strengthening cooperation between our countries”, Taliashvili concluded.
