Georgian FM says any form of external interference “unacceptable” for Georgia

Statements made ahead of elections about the country in which the elections are being held represent an internal political matter for any state, said on Wednesday Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili while commenting on remarks by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy had earlier said that he believes Viktor Orbán will lose Hungary’s upcoming parliamentary elections.
The minister noted that any form of interference from outside the country is unacceptable for Georgia.
“At such a time, similar statements made from outside, from any country, can of course be perceived as interference in a country’s internal affairs. This has always been unacceptable for us, remains unacceptable, and will continue to be unacceptable”, Botchorishvili stated.
