The removal of the Kulevi oil terminal from the European Union’s sanctions list is another clear example of how disinformation campaigns are often carried out against Georgia, said on Tuesday Maia Bitadze, the chair of the Georgian Parliament’s environment protection and natural resources committee.
“The removal of the Kulevi terminal from the sanctions list is another clear example of how certain information campaigns are often rolled out against Georgia, suggesting that the country violates the sanctions regime imposed on Russia. Each time it is proven that these accusations are completely false”, Bitadze noted.
The European Union has removed the Kulevi oil terminal from its 20th sanctions package. The EU has also welcomed Georgia’s efforts in ensuring compliance with sanctions.
