Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday reaffirmed his government's commitment to Georgia’s sovereignty, stating that authorities remain “firmly” aligned with the Georgian people in defending national interests against external pressures.
Speaking to reporters, the Prime Minister addressed concerns regarding whether the latest OSCE document - part of the Moscow Mechanism - could be used as a political tool to exert pressure on Georgia during future decision-making processes in Brussels.
“We constantly see such attempts. This is just another attempt which, like those before it, has failed to yield results and will continue to fail in the future. Together with the Georgian people, we are standing very firmly in defence of our national interests”, the PM said.
“Regardless of these attempts, we will continue to stand guard over our country's national interests. These efforts are quite ‘cheap’, which is clearly visible even from the text we read in the Moscow Mechanism report”, he concluded.
