Georgian Parliament official: Juknevičienė should not comment on Georgia until she apologizes to its people

Archil Gorduladze, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs, on Wednesday dismissed a report by Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevičienė describing it as another politically motivated document containing disinformation about Georgia.
Gorduladze strongly condemned Juknevičienė’s report, which urged sanctions against the ruling Georgian Dream party and several media outlets. Dismissing the document as part of a campaign of false accusations, Gorduladze asserted that Juknevičienė has no right to speak about Georgia until she apologizes to its people.
According to Gorduladze, the report contains disinformation and was part of another false campaign directed against Georgia.
“Any report by Rasa Juknevičienė is merely something written on paper. As far as Georgia is concerned, she should not even have the right to comment until she apologises to the Georgian people”, Gorduladze said.
“Let us not forget that on October 4, 2025, she claimed these events represented the suppression of the people's free will. Now, however, more than 22 individuals have confessed to their involvement in organised crime aimed at seizing a strategic facility - the Presidential Palace. This raises a critical question: Was she lying when she made those past statements, or are the individuals currently admitting to these criminal actions somehow being misled?” he concluded.
