Georgia’s ruling party Sec Gen pledges continuity of Georgian Dream’s agenda, stresses peace as key to growth

Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday said peace was bringing development and progress, stressing that the path pursued by the ruling party under the leadership of Bidzina Ivanishvili would definitely continue.
In his remarks, Kaladze thanked the members of the Georgian Dream party both for their partisan activities and for their contribution to the development of the country.
“We are ordinary soldiers of this country; we serve its interests. Of course, Georgia needs partners and friends who respect the choice of the Georgian people and the sovereignty of the country - but not masters who try to impose their own interests on us”, Kaladze said.
“Naturally, everyone has their own strategic interests, just as we do, and we know exactly what is necessary for Georgia’s development. That includes long-term peace, the protection and strengthening of our identity. No one will do our job for us; it is our responsibility to build a solid foundation for our country’s future”, he concluded.
