PM appoints Mikheil Sarjveladze as new Health Minister

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday appointed Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Chair of the Parliament's Human Rights Committee, as new Health Minister.
In his remarks, Sarjveladze noted it was an “honour” for him that he would have the opportunity, with the support of Kobakhidze, to serve the country and be “useful” to the citizens.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze for the confidence, which is particularly important to me”, Sarjveladze said.
Sarjveladze further highlighted his “profound” respect for the medical community.
