Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili on Wednesday said that the management of Singapore’s Changi Airport has expressed strong interest in participating in the Georgian Government’s upcoming tender to select a partner for the development of the Vaziani International Airport project.

Kvrivishvili made the statement following a meeting with the management team of Singapore Changi Airport during the Georgian government delegation’s visit to Singapore.

The Economy Minister noted that the Singaporean airport operator effectively confirmed its strong interest in participating in the tender that the Georgian Government plans to announce to select a partner company.

“The Vaziani International Airport project has attracted the interest of Changi Airport’s management team”, she said.

She highlighted Changi Airport’s international reputation for high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.

“We held a meeting with the management team of Singapore’s Changi Airport. Changi Airport is internationally recognised as one of the world’s best airports in terms of service quality and operations. We are particularly pleased that our new airport project, the Vaziani International Airport project, has attracted the interest of Changi Airport’s management team, and during the meeting they effectively confirmed their strong interest in participating in the tender that the Georgian government will announce to select a partner company”, Kvrivishvili noted.

She also stated that the meeting highlighted Georgia’s exceptional attractiveness as an investment destination and the notable growth achieved across multiple sectors of the Georgian economy.
