The United States President Donald Trump on Friday thanked Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze for a message marking the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, expressing hope for stronger cooperation between the two countries in support of sovereignty, security, prosperity, and peace.

The letter, published by the Embassy of the United States of America in Georgia, noted that the Office of the President of the United States asked the Embassy to deliver the letter to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

In the letter, Trump thanked Kobakhidze for his message commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence.

“Dear Mr. Prime Minister: Thank you for your message honouring the 250th anniversary of America's independence. Independence Day marks the founding of our nation and celebrates the enduring spirit of freedom, resilience, and determination that defines the American people. We take pride in the principles that have guided our country throughout its history, and we value the friendship of partners who share respect for those ideals. As we commemorate 250 years of independence, I am thankful you are joining us in celebrating America's principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, the letter noted.

Trump emphasised the importance of cooperation between the United States and Georgia in supporting sovereignty, security, and long-term prosperity.

“Your thoughtful message is sincerely appreciated. By working together in support of sovereignty, security, and lasting prosperity, we can continue to achieve meaningful progress. I look forward to strengthening our cooperation as we pursue a more secure, prosperous, and peaceful future together. Sincerely, Donald Trump”, the letter said.
