Archil Gorduladze, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs, on Friday said that Georgia has become a special target of political terrorism and foreign-backed attempts to undermine democratic institutions.
Commenting on the ministerial meeting in Washington on the resurgence of political terrorism, attended by Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili at the invitation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Gorduladze highlighted Georgia’s experience as a key example in the global discussion.
“Georgia is a special target of political terrorism, while also being a target of attacks and attempts to undermine democratic institutions through foreign funding and incitement from abroad - through five attempts to stage a revolution over four years”, he said.
“Liberal fascism must end, and this cannot happen unless states unite”, Gorduladze concluded.
