Georgian PM calls Charlie Kirk’s assassination “horrifying act”

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday described the assassination of the American conservative commentator Charlie Kirk as a “horrifying and condemnable act”, noting that it highlights the dangers of what he called pseudo-liberalism in the modern world.
Speaking to reporters, the Prime Minister highlighted the murder, which occurred in broad daylight on a university campus, and noted that it has been condemned at the highest level by American politicians, members of the Trump administration, and President Trump himself.
“This is a horrific and deplorable fact. It shows where these so-called liberals and pseudo-liberals are dragging the modern world. These are alarming, catastrophic trends”, he said.
The PM further criticised the response of certain activists, whom he referred to as UNM-affiliated figures, including some foreign-funded individuals, stressing that some of these activists reportedly reacted to Kirk’s murder with laughter and ridicule, demonstrating a troubling moral and ethical state.
