Georgian foreign office condemns drone attack in Nakhchivan, voices support for Azerbaijan

The ministry of foreign affairs of Georgia on Thursday responded to a drone attack carried out in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

The ministry released a statement condemning the attack and expressing solidarity with Azerbaijan.

“We strongly condemn the drone attack carried out in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which resulted in several citizens being injured.

Any action that grossly violates the principles and norms of international law and is aimed at escalating the situation in the region is unacceptable.

Given the strong friendship and strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia expresses its solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan in this difficult situation”, the statement reads.
